Hi, I used to extrude or revolve the solid in Solidworks and export as.xt, step or anything A/CAE would accept. In A/CAE I would cut the model and sketch on the cross section where I would extract the edges from the solid (the symbol that looks like a wedge of cheese). Start with a dual line sketch: one as construction for your revolve axis, the other solid, positioned at the bend radius from the first line and as long as the part is wide. Use this sketch for a revolve boss and don't close the sketch when prompted. Select No so you get a thin revolve and not a regular one. It should say 'thin' in your tree. Create two revolved bosses to round out the louver. Add a fillet around the bottom edge of the louver. Use an extruded cut to remove the base so that only the louver remains. Use the Forming Tool tool to convert the louver into a forming tool. Learn how to create 2D sketches and then extrude, revolve, loft, and sweep these features into 3D objects.
